Street Cause Volunteer for life, HR by profession. Always critical, but yet a trusted friend:)
Hi, I’m Akhilesh Jukareddy. I was born and raised in Hyderabad, with formative years in Chennai and Pune. Chennai especially taught me what it means to live authentically within a culture. Later, I spent 4 years in Germany and now 4 years in Switzerland, while traveling to more than 35 countries — always curious to learn from history, experience different cultures, and enjoy nature along the way.
In 2009, as a student, I co-founded Street Cause — what began as a small volunteer effort with friends has grown into a movement of 5,000 active students across 10 cities, with more than 50,000 alumni. Volunteering has been my greatest teacher, grounding me in humility, leadership, and the belief that trusting people brings out their best.
Professionally, I’ve spent the past 11 years in HR, and today I work with Wipro in Switzerland. I believe the true calling of every HR Business Partner is to help business teams win. If a policy doesn’t serve the business, change it — because when business succeeds, people grow with it. My focus has been on transformation, enabling leadership journeys, and building people strategy that powers business growth. At the core, my work is built on genuine relationships and trusted conversations — whether in organizations or communities.
This space is my Train of Thought. Instead of crowding LinkedIn with long reflections, I share my learnings, questions, and occasional insights here. I like to think of myself as “averagely ambitious” — critical of many things, but hopefully trusted enough to make a difference.
And yes, that’s my wife Rohita Reddy in the picture with me — my partner through the countries, causes, and chaos.
